Deutsch Type 2 9-Pin J1939 1 Male to 2 Female - Custom Wire Harness
- One-to-two Y-harness terminating one Deutsch HD10-9-1939P Type 2 male connector to two Deutsch HD10-9-1939S Type 2 female receptacles, conforming to the SAE J1939-13 off-board diagnostic connector standard.
- Built on shielded twisted-pair CAN cable for the CAN_H/CAN_L lines and discrete 14–18 AWG stranded power and ignition wires for battery, ground, and key-on circuits, with a Deutsch HD-series operating temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C.
- Wired to the full SAE J1939-13 Type 2 pinout — A: Battery (-), B: Battery (+), C: CAN_H, D: CAN_L, E: CAN shield, F: J1708 (-), G: J1708 (+), H: ignition signal, J: OEM/proprietary — supporting 500 kbit/s and 250 kbit/s CAN data rates as well as legacy J1708/J1587 traffic. The Type 2 (green) housing keying physically prevents accidental mating with Type 1 (black) 250-kbit/s-only connectors. The Deutsch HD10 housing is sealed to IP67 (IEC 60529), uses a positive bayonet-lock coupling rated for high-vibration heavy-duty service, and meets UL 94 V-0 housing flammability.
- Custom branch lengths, overall length, wire gauge, insulation style (TXL, GXL, GPT per SAE J1128, or UL 1015 / UL 1028), shield grounding scheme (single-end vs. dual-end drain), inline fusing, and overlay protection (expandable braid, convoluted loom, DR-25) available on request — submit a quote request for non-stock configurations or for builds that require an inline 120 Ω termination resistor.

Can't find what you need?
We specialize in custom sourcing and manufacturing. Upload your spec sheet or drawing, and our engineering team will provide a quote within 24 hours.
What information do you need to provide a quote for a custom wire harness?
To provide an accurate quote and lead time, please provide:
- Technical Drawing or Diagram: Showing pinouts, lengths, and tolerances.
- Bill of Materials (BOM): Listing specific connectors (MPN) and wire gauges (AWG).
- Estimated Annual Usage (EAU): Helping us optimize pricing for your volume. Note: If you do not have a formal drawing, our engineering team can help create one based on your physical sample.
Can you suggest cost-saving alternatives for expensive connectors (e.g., TE, Molex, JST)?
Yes. We offer variety of alternative components.
We have extensive supply chain relationships in Taiwan and can suggest"Functionally Equivalent"alternatives that are fully compatible with major brands like TE, Molex, or JST but at a significantly lower cost. We will provide datasheets and samples of the alternative components for your approval before production.
How do you ensure quality control for custom cable assemblies?
Every single cable assembly undergoes rigorous testing before leaving our Taiwan facility. Our standard QC process includes:
- 100% Continuity Testing: Ensuring no opens, shorts, or miswires.
- Pull Force Testing: Verifying crimp strength.
- Visual Inspection: Checking for cosmetic defects and label accuracy.
- Hi-Pot Testing: Available upon request for high-voltage applications to ensure insulation integrity.
