Multi-Port RJ45 Connector

A stacked modular jack puts two or more RJ45 ports in one shell, in rows or columns, so a single placement delivers several ports in roughly the panel width of one. TeleWire Technology manufactures 69 of them in Taiwan, from 1x2 up to 2x8.

  • Port pitch holds to the shell tolerance, not to board placement accuracy.
  • One placement replaces four or eight, which compounds on a dense line card.
  • Tabs in both orientations — the two rows latch in opposite directions, so a released cord does not foul the connector facing it.

Ganged (1xN) and stacked (2xN) arrays, with or without integrated magnetics, 10/100 through 10G Base-T, PoE++ capable, shielded with or without EMI fingers.

Industry Applications

Proven Performance Across Industries

Industrial Hubs

Ruggedized multi-port connectors for DIN-rail mounted industrial Ethernet switches.

Rackmount Servers

High-density LOM (LAN on Motherboard) connections for enterprise servers.

Patch Panels

Unshielded or Shielded multi-port blocks for structured cabling distribution frames.

NVR / DVR Systems

Stacked PoE jacks allow security recorders to power and connect multiple IP cameras directly from the back panel.

Network Switches

The primary use case. 2x4 and 2x6 stacked jacks allow for 24-port and 48-port switch configurations in 1U racks.

Medical Devices

High-reliability jacks with 50u" gold plating for diagnostic equipment ports.

Why Choose Our Multi-port Jack Solutions

Taiwan-Made Precision Engineering

Unlike generic commodity connectors, our jacks are engineered in Taiwan with high-precision stamping and molding to ensure consistent mechanical stability.

Maximize Port Density

Our stacked (2xN) designs double your connectivity potential per linear inch of PCB edge, which is essential for compact rackmount switches and 1U servers.

Superior Signal Isolation

We engineer our multi-port jacks with advanced internal shielding partitions to drastically reduce near-end crosstalk (NEXT) between adjacent ports.

Unified Shielding Integrity

Instead of using multiple single ports, our multi-port jacks use a continuous metal shield structure, providing better ground plane stability and EMI suppression.

Technical FAQs

Common questions from procurement and engineering teams.

What is the difference between 'Ganged' and 'Stacked' RJ45 connectors?

'Ganged' connectors refer to a single row of ports side-by-side (1xN configuration, e.g., 1x2, 1x4). 'Stacked' connectors feature two rows of ports, one on top of the other (2xN configuration, e.g., 2x1, 2x4, 2x6). Stacked jacks are essential for doubling the port density on networking equipment like switches and servers.

How do you manage crosstalk in multi-port connectors?

Crosstalk between adjacent ports is a major challenge in high-density designs. We use advanced internal shield partitions and optimized lead frame spacing to isolate signals. For our Integrated Multi-port Jacks (MagJacks), the internal magnetics are specifically arranged to minimize electromagnetic coupling between channels.

Are your multi-port jacks compatible with PoE applications?

Yes. Our multi-port and stacked jacks are fully capable of supporting PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ (up to 100W) across all ports simultaneously. We use high-performance wire insulation and thermal management designs to ensure safety even when all ports are delivering power.

Do you offer custom port configurations (e.g., 2x8 or 1x12)?

Yes. While 1x4, 2x4, and 2x6 are standard market configurations, we can manufacture custom gang lengths to fit specific chassis designs. As a Taiwan-based manufacturer, we have the tooling capabilities to produce custom housings for high-volume orders.

What shielding options do you provide for high-density jacks?

We offer full metal shielding with extensive EMI spring finger options (top, side, bottom) to ensure grounding continuity with the panel cut-out. This is critical for FCC/CE compliance in networking switches where multiple ports are aggregated in a small space.
